Dear friends,
I’ve arrived in New York in the most wonderful time of the year!
Being my first visit here, the best word that describes what I feel is: magic! And it’s not just the magic that you may have seen in the Christmas movies from New York, it’s the magic that comes from the metropolis energy, from the Times Square’s carols, from the lights and the Rockefeller fir tree, it’s the magic from the windows displays on the 5th Avenue and from the smiles of the people wishing you “Merry Christmas”.
And the most wonderful feeling is that New York City makes you feel like home! Maybe because this town looks so familiar, maybe because it’s a mix of culture where you may find yourself or maybe because the skyscrapers seem to be a proof that the sky is the limit and the dreams do come true.
 
Only a few days left until the New Year’s Eve and I wish that all the experiences we had in 2017 to bring us more love, to make us more conscious of today and to help us believe that everything is possible.

Craciun in New York ✨
Sau un vis devenit realitate…
 
Dragii mei,
Am ajuns pentru prima oara la New York, in cea mai minunata perioada din an! ?
 
Si cred ca cel mai potrivit cuvant care descrie starea pe care o simt e: magie! Si nu e doar magia pe care o vezi in filmele de Craciun din New York, e in energia metropolei, in colindele care se aud in Times Square, in luminile si bradul din Rockefeller Center, in ferestrele magazinelor de pe 5th Avenue si in zambetul oamenilor care iti ureaza “Merry Christmas”.  Si cel mai minunat sentiment e faptul ca New York-ul te face sa te simti ca acasa! Probabil pentru ca ti-e familiar, probabil pentru ca e un mix de cultura in care fiecare se regaseste sau poate pentru ca zgarie norii iti par o dovada ca limita e cerul si ca orice vis se poate indeplini.
 
Si pentru ca ne mai despart doar cateva zile de noul an, imi doresc ca experientele din 2017 sa ne faca mai iubitori, mai constienti de prezentul si mai increzatori ca orice este posibil!
Un 2018 magic!! ✨

What does Christmas mean to you? 

To me,  Christmas is the smell of oranges mixed with the taste of freshly baked cakes and the perfume of the fir tree.

Christmas means carols announcing the Birth of Jesus, “Pițărăi” (a Romanian tradition similar with the “Trick or treat” tradition without Halloween costumes), after that, some hot “țuică” (a Romanian brandy) made by my father and some  delicious “sarmale” (Romanian cabbage rolls) made by my mother. 

Christmas is the emotion of Santa’s coming and the hope that magic exists.

Christmas is joy. In my soul and in the eyes of others.

Christmas is light. In ornaments and in people.

Christmas is love. In the hugs of loved ones and in the hearts.

So, this is Christmas… 

 

I wish you to enjoy this Christmas feeling!

Dragii mei,

Daca pe timpul verii am facut turul festivalurilor, iata ca in aceasta perioada vizitez cele mai frumoase targuri de Craciun!

Acum cateva zile am ajuns pentru prima oara la Targul de Craciun de la Sibiu si pot spune ca sibienii chiar au cu ce se mandri. Piata din Sibiu e desprinsa din basme! ?

Am avut la dispozitie doar vreo cateva minute, asa ca mi-am cumparat un vin fiert, am admirat decoratiunile, iar Radu, colegul meu, mi-a facut fotografii (nu se putea fara ?)

Si cred ca in absolut toate imaginile se poate citi fericirea din ochii mei.

Si chiar ma gandeam ca in ciuda agitatiei si cumparaturilor de Craciun, de fapt Craciunul e o stare, un sentiment pe care il traiesti din plin in aceasta perioada.  

Craciunul inseamna miros de portocale, de cozonac proaspat scos din cuptor si de cetina de brad.

Craciunul inseamna colinde care sa vesteasca Nasterea Domnului, Pitarai si apoi tuica fiarta de tati, urmata de o portie zdravana de sarmale delicioase facute de mami.

Craciunul inseamna emotia venirii lui Mos Craciun si speranta ca magia exista.

Craciunul e bucurie. In sufletul meu si in ochii celor din jur.

Craciunul e lumina. In beculetele din ornamente si in oameni.

Craciunul e dragoste. In imbratisarile celor dragi si in inimi.

Asa simt eu Craciunul.

 

Sa simtiti Craciunul din plin!

Dear friends,

I arrived home 2 weeks ago after my roadtrip to Budapest, Nurnberg, Amsterdam, Strasbourg, Vienna and Targu Jiu. Because I had so much work with the release of my new track and also my Viva la video’s projects, I couldn’t find enough time to share with you more memories from this beautiful holiday.

I think you already know the main reason for my trip: to premiere my “BORN TO LOVE” song with DJ FEEL in Armin Van Buuren’s show, A STATE OF TRANCE. And the second reason was to admire some of the most beautiful cities in Europe, in November.

As we expected, the weather wasn’t so friendly, it rained half of our journey, but being in our car, taking a lot of winter clothes, drinking hot tea, all these made a beautiful holiday. And, of course, we couldn’t stop taking photos.

When we arrived in Strasbourg, our relatives told us that we must stay to see the opening of the amazing Christmas Market! And… we couldn’t say no. It was magic! ? Actually I filmed more images on my Facebook Live and on my Instagram Stories.

10 days. 4500 km. 6 cities. More than 1500 photos. Lifetime memories! ❤️ So… yeah… looking back, I could say that I feel like a globe-trotter… and I really enjoy it. ?

1 tip: if you want to visit the famous Christmas market from Nurnberg, make sure you plan your trip starting 1 December, not earlier, like I did. Anyway it was so nice to see again the castle surroundings. ?

1 tip: The best way to feel the Strasbourg mood in a short time is to cross the Rhine river with a “Bateau Mouche” – a french boat with many windows that allows you to admire the view (similar to those on Seine, in Paris) and each tourist can listen to the Strasbourg’s guide on their headphones.

Dragi prieteni,

Am ajuns acasa acum doua saptamani, dupa vacanta mea la Budapesta, Nurnberg, Amsterdam, Strasbourg, Viena si la Targu Jiu.

Pentru ca s-a lansat noua mea melodie si pentru ca am avut mai multe proiecte cu agentia noastra Viva la Video, nu am reusit sa scriu si sa va arat mai multe amintiri din calatorie. Cred ca stiti deja care a fost scopul principal al excursiei mele: sa lansam piesa “BORN TO LOVE” cu DJ FEEL in show-ul lui Armin Van Buuren, A STATE OF TRANCE. Si al doilea obiectiv a fost sa admiram cateva din cele mai frumoase orase ale Europei la sfarsit de toamna.

Asa cum ne-am asteptat, vremea nu a fost foarte prietenoasa, a plouat aproape jumatate de drum, insa fiind in masina, ne-am luat haine groase, am baut ceai cald si am reusit astfel sa avem o vacanta frumoasa. Desigur, am facut o multime de fotografii.

Cand am ajuns in Strasbourg rudele noastre ne-au spus ca ar trebui sa stam pana la deschiderea Pietei de Craciun din centrul orasului. Si… nu am putut spune nu. A fost magic! Poate ati vazut imaginile din live-ul meu de pe Facebook sau de pe Instagram Stories.

10 zile. 4500 de km. 6 orase. Mai mult de 1500 de fotografii. Amintiri pentru o viata! ❤️ Deci… da… uitandu-ma la acest rezumat, as putea spune ca ma simt ca un “globe-trotter”… si imi place. ?

Va pup si va multumesc ca imi sunteti alaturi,

If I could go back in time and answer the question: “What do I want to be when I grow up?”, I would say: a tourist!  To visit the most beautiful places in the world, to admire the smiles or the wrinkles of the local people, to feel the pulse of the city, tasting traditional food and taking the energy of every new place discovered! After that, I would love to feel like home in a small and cozy hotel and, of course, to take photos and to share with you the joy of being there! 🙂

Am I right? The happiness is even greater when you show your loved ones what makes you happy. 🙂

Daca as mai fi la varsta la care sa fiu intrebata ce vreau sa ma fac atunci cand voi fi mare, as raspunde: turist! 🙂
Sa vizitez cele mai frumoase locuri din lume, sa admir zambetele sau ridurile localnicilor, sa simt pulsul orasului, sa gust mancarurile lor traditionale, sa ma incarc cu energia fiecarui loc nou descoperit si apoi sa ma simt ca acasa intr-un hotel mic si cochet, sa fac fotografii si apoi sa va impartasesc si voua bucuria de a fi acolo!

Nu-i asa ca fericirea e si mai mare atunci cand le povestesti sau le arati celor dragi ceea ce te face fericit? 🙂

I’m writing to you from my roadtrip to Amsterdam. I stayed overnight in Budapest and I fell in love (again) with this amazing city … I’ve seen it 2 times before, but only in the summer. Now, at the end of the autumn, the capital of Hungary is like a fairytale. Embraced by the foggy air, the Danube separates the city in two areas: BUDA and PEST and it is a fair witness to all this seasonal changes. But in this cold light, Budapest’s architecture is even more beautiful and I could not resist having a short photoshooting. I’m proudly wearing this beautiful dress created by Lucia Rosca.

Ieri imi planificasem frumos ziua. Filmari pentru noile editii Oriflame Webshow, o vizita la Directia de Pasapoarte, o intalnire si studiu pentru lucrarea mea de disertatie, iar seara o iesire la film. Si cum afara inca nu ploua si Bucurestiul gemea de aglomeratie, am preferat sa merg pe jos. Repede, repede, sa nu cumva sa pierd ritmul nebuniei din Capitala.

Telefon cu mami, o mie de ganduri si planuri, traversez strada regulamentar si apoi… ma imprastii de la cei 180 de cm ai mei pe troturar. Nu stiu cum am reusit sa ma impiedic, cert e ca aveam in mana geanta, telefonul si inca o sacosa cu acte. Am reusit sa nu cad peste telefon(desi l-am crapat de asfalt), insa m-am lovit cam tare la genunchi. Dar sa nu fac o tragedie din asta… cate cazaturi asemanatoare nu am avut cand eram mica? In fiecare vara, cand mergeam la tara, aveam semne de buna purtare.

Ma ajuta sa ma ridic doi oameni care au vazut isprava mea si ajung speriata acasa. Imi fac curaj, curat rana, ma linistesc un pic, fac GIVE AWAY-ul de pe Instagram(ca doar il anuntasem in Instastories) si imi continui treaba. Odata cu venirea noptii imi dau seama ca unul din genunchii mei nu face prea bine. Antiinflamatoare, Baneocin si repaus. Mi-am amanat intalnirile de azi.

De dimineata am fost convinsa ca sunt mai bine! Dar nu! Abia pot sa imi misc piciorul drept. Ce bucurie sa pot face un pas!

Uof… cum suntem noi, oamenii! Cand totul e bine ne umplem mintea cu prostii si credem ca e normal sa avem ce avem…

Acum nu ma mai uit la ceas, disperata ca intarzii si ca nu imi termin planurile.

Acum stau in pat si imi imprastii gandurile pe blog, mai raspund la e-mailuri. Si ascult muzica noua sau veche.

Si imi promit ca data viitoare voi fi mai atenta…

Aveti grija de voi! O secunda de neatentie chiar va poate schimba viata!

I’ve just written my yesterday experience.

Being hasty, as usual, I fell on the asphalt and I injured my foot.

It’s not a tragedy, but now I have to stay in bed for a few days to recover my wounded knee.

How weird is that? Now I find joy in every step I make… Yesterday I thought that it’s so natural to walk, to run, to rush…
